Archbold records 48 new COVID-19 positive test results

THOMASVILLE — Archbold officials reported Tuesday there have been 48 new COVID-19 positive test results over the last week, Over the past week, the system has had 994 new negative results. Four people were admitted to Archbold hospitals in the last week for COVID-19. The system recorded one death from COVID-19 in the last week.

As of Tuesday, there were eight COVID-19 positive patients at Archbold Memorial Hospital. There were no COVID-19 positive patients at Grady General Hospital, Brooks County Hospital or Mitchell County Hospital. There are no COVID-19 positive patients at Northside Center for Behavioral and Psychiatric Care.

Archbold also is reporting there are no COVID positive patients at Pelham Parkway Nursing Home, Glenn-Mor Nursing Home or Mitchell Convalescent Center. 

The system also has administered 27,800 COVID-19 vaccine doses as of Tuesday.

The state DPH has recorded 1,634 COVID-19 cases in Grady County, with 51 deaths and 189 hospitalizations attributed to the virus. The county has added 13 new cases in the last two weeks. 

Statewide, there have been more than 908,300 confirmed positive tests for COVID-19, leading to 18,592 deaths and more than 65,670 hospitalizations.

More than 9.2 million people have been tested for COVID-19 in the state, with a rate of 9.5% for positive results. 

Statewide, there have been 5,876 new COVID-19 cases in the last two weeks.
