THS’ Duncan, Jordan earn top region baseball honors

THOMASVILLE — Thomasville High School’s baseball team claimed two of the top Region 1-AA postseason honors.
Gabe Duncan, a pitcher and outfielder, was named player of the year, and Jacob Jordan was named pitcher of the year in voting by region coaches.
The Bulldogs, who won the region championship, placed eight players on the all-region team. Named to the first team were catcher Witt Wetherington, named as the utility player, and first baseman Jace Lowe. Named to the second team were outfielders Jack Thompson and Isaac Richardson and pitcher Ben Rawlings.
Anderson Everett was named to the honorable mention list.
Duncan, Wetherington and Jordan were named second-team all-state in Class AA and Thompson and Rawlings were honorable mention.
