Thomasville High sophomore Brycen Jones took low medalist honors at the Class AA state golf championship.

HAWKINSVILLE — Thomasville High sophomore Brycen Jones claimed the Class AA state golf individual championship Tuesday.

Jones shot a two-day 8-under 136 to take low medalist honors. He shot a 5 under on Monday’s first round at Southern Hills Golf Club.

Brady Rackley of Lovett was second at 146.

The Thomasville girls team, consisting of sisters Jocelyn and Julianna Watson, finished ninth with a two-day total team score of 392.
