Thomasville Police Department detectives are working with Georgia State Patrol’s Specialized Collision Reconstruction Team in an investigation to determine how the victim died.

Using a drone, troopers mapped the area Friday, said Sgt. Scott Newberry, Criminal Investigations Division assistant commander.

“We’re still trying to figure out what happened,” Newberry said.

Video from nearby businesses shows several people slowing down when they saw the body. Some stopped. Someone called 911.
