Thomas County’s full COVID-19 vaccinations top 9,380

As of Monday, more than 9,380 Thomas County residents have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19, according to the state Department of Public Health. 

Grady County has had more than 9,100 vaccines administered, with more than 4,220 being fully vaccinated.

The state Department of Public Health reports there have been 3,524 COVID-19 positive tests in Thomas County, with 113 deaths. There also have been 346 people hospitalized because of the novel coronavirus since the inception of the outbreak. 

Thomas County has recorded 28 new cases in the last two weeks, according to the state DPH. 

The state DPH has recorded 1,521 COVID-19 cases in Grady County, with 46 deaths and 173 hospitalizations attributed to the virus. The county has added 14 new cases in the last two weeks. 

Statewide, there have been more than 869,000 confirmed positive tests for COVID-19, leading to 17,241 deaths and more than 60,520 hospitalizations.

More than 8.1 million people have been tested for COVID-19 in the state, with a rate of 10.4% for positive results. 

Statewide, there have been 13,674 new COVID-19 cases in the last two weeks. 

The state has issued more than 5.3 million vaccinations, and 20% of all Georgia residents have been fully vaccinated.
