No new COVID-19 deaths in Thomas, Grady counties

The Georgia Department of Public Health reports there have been 3,496 COVID-19 positive tests in Thomas County, with 112 deaths. There also have been 342 people hospitalized because of the novel coronavirus since the inception of the outbreak. 

Thomas County has recorded 26 new cases in the last two weeks, according to the state DPH.

The state DPH has recorded 1,507 COVID-19 cases in Grady County, with 46 deaths and 171 hospitalizations attributed to the virus. The county has added 17 new cases in the last two weeks. 

Statewide, there have been more than 856,000 confirmed positive tests for COVID-19, leading to 16,749 deaths and more than 59,000 hospitalizations.

More than 7.8 million people have been tested for COVID-19 in the state, with a rate of 10.5% for positive results. 

Statewide, there have been 13,201 new COVID-19 cases in the last two weeks. 

The state has issued nearly 3.7 million vaccinations.
