Thomas County hits 3,100 in COVID-19 case totals

The Georgia Department of Public Health reports there have been 3,100 COVID-19 positive tests in Thomas County, with 90 deaths. There also have been 274 people hospitalized because of the novel coronavirus since the inception of the outbreak.
Thomas County has recorded 369 new cases in the last two weeks, according to the state DPH.
The state DPH has recorded 1,362 COVID-19 cases in Grady County, with 37 deaths attributed to the virus.
Statewide, there have been more than 722,000 confirmed positive tests for COVID-19, leading to 11,854 deaths and more than 48,400 hospitalizations.
More than 6.2 million people have been tested for COVID-19 in the state, with a rate of 11.1% for positive results.
