Thomas County passes 2,400 mark in total COVID-19 cases

The Georgia Department of Public Health reports there have been 2,443 COVID-19 positive tests in Thomas County, with 80 deaths. There also have been 209 people hospitalized because of the novel coronavirus since the inception of the outbreak. 

Thomas County has recorded 326 new cases in the last two weeks, according to the state DPH.

The state DPH has recorded 1,109 COVID-19 cases in Grady County, with 28 deaths attributed to the virus.

Statewide, there have been more than 591,000 confirmed positive tests for COVID-19, leading to 9,900 deaths and more than 42,500 hospitalizations.

More than 5.4 million people have been tested for COVID-19 in the state, with a rate of 10.3% for positive results.
