Archbold’s positive tests top 200 for past week

The Georgia Department of Public Health reports there have been 2,278 COVID-19 positive tests in Thomas County, with 79 deaths. There also have been 209 people hospitalized because of the novel coronavirus since the inception of the outbreak.
Thomas County has recorded 319 new cases in the last two weeks, according to the state DPH.
The state DPH has recorded 1,049 COVID-19 cases in Grady County, with 27 deaths attributed to the virus.
Statewide, there have been more than 552,000 confirmed positive tests for COVID-19, leading to 9,759 deaths and more than 41,400 hospitalizations.
More than 5.2 million people have been tested for COVID-19 in the state, with a rate of 10% for positive results.
