God’s fingerprints

Many people today are deceived of Satan into not believing in God’s existence. But I know He does exist, and I think there is ample proof in nature.
When I build something, my fingerprints get all over every part of it. The same thing holds true with God. He made us and everything in the entire universe. And His prints are all over the place for all who are willing to see the truth.
An adage says, “There are none so blind as those who will not see.” Most people today are blind to truth, out of choice.
I studied and taught all the natural sciences over a period of 40 years. I came up with a little saying: “The more science I learn, the more God I see.” I shared this with many students. To me, the evidence for God’s existence is everywhere because of the marks and fingerprints He has left in nature.
Specifically, gravity, magnetism, and electrostatic forces are phenomena bearing God’s signature. How? Well, try to explain them. Take gravity, for example. Here is a force we all take for granted and even fear when we are standing on a ladder or some high place. But try to explain how one thing, the earth, can cause movement, falling, in another without any physical contact. Albert Einstein tried for 30 years and was unable to explain gravity.
Perhaps a better example is magnetism. This is another very mysterious force that we all take for granted. We also make good use of it in generating electricity that has made our civilization so advanced. But try to explain how something, a magnet, can make another, a piece of iron, move toward it without any physical contact. Magnetism, unlike gravity, can also exert pushing force on another magnet of like polarity.
There is also unexplained electrostatic force and nuclear strong force that holds atomic nuclei together. We understand the “how” of these forces, but we have no idea of the “why.” However, to me the most obvious mark of our Creator is the extreme complexity of life. Take, for instance, one living cell from your body or that of any animal or plant. It is so tiny it cannot even be seen except by using a microscope. Yet in this tiny space exists an ocean of chemicals that are constantly undergoing reactions. One chemical changes into another and moves to some other place in the cell and causes some reaction there. This goes on the entire time the cell is alive. How can tiny things do complex things by themselves and undirected? I really believe they cannot. I believe God directs every step.
I truly believe that gravity, magnetism, electrostatic force, nuclear strong force, and the extreme complexity of life will never be understood on earth. I also truly believe God intended it that way to demonstrate His existence.
The best advice I’ve encountered is found in Proverbs 3:5: “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding.”
