Archbold: No COVID-positive patients at its nursing homes

THOMASVILLE — Archbold officials reported Tuesday that to date there have been 1,876 positive test results for COVID-19 across their system, with 111 deaths, since testing began March 11. There also have been 15,459 negative test results.
There have been 709 people admitted to Archbold hospitals since testing started. Over the past week, the system has had 40 new positive test results and 618 new negative results. Fifteen people have been admitted to Archbold hospitals in the last week for COVID-19. The system recorded three deaths from COVID-19 in the last week.
As of Tuesday, there were six COVID-19 positive patients at Archbold Memorial Hospital, two each at Grady General Hospital and Mitchell County Hospital, and none at either Brooks County Hospital or Northside Center for Behavioral and Psychiatric Care.
Archbold also is reporting there are no COVID positive patients at Glenn-Mor Nursing Home, Pelham Parkway Nursing Home or Mitchell Convalescent Center.
The Georgia Department of Public Health reports there have been 1,686 COVID-19 positive tests in Thomas County, with 74 deaths. There also have been 179 people hospitalized because of the novel coronavirus since the inception of the outbreak.
Statewide, there have been more than 391,000 confirmed positive tests for COVID-19, leading to 8,496 deaths in Georgia and 33,439 people being hospitalized.
The state has administered more than 3.9 million tests.
