Forsyth was 12 of 18 passing for four scores, and Waldrop added another TD through the air.

Brookwood opened up a 35-14 lead at the half. The Warriors went 62 yards in 10 plays on the first drive, thanks to a hook-and-ladder with Jacob Lauderdale and Ty Joyner that picked up 28 yards.

Ethan Myers scored from 2 yards out and Nathan Yokley’s extra point made it 7-0.

Touchdown passes from Forsyth to Lauderdale and Yokley stretched the lead to 21-0.

After the Spartans cut the lead to 21-6 on a long run, Yokley ran the kickoff back 81 yards for a 28-6 lead.

Forsyth connected with TJ Thomas on the first of his two touchdown catches, an 18-yard strike, to push the lead to 35-6.

Grant Gaston forced a fumble at the 8-yard line that Joyner recovered, and Forsyth and Yokley turned that into an 8-yard TD pass.

Waldrop’s 42-yard strike to Thomas in the fourth quarter completed Brookwood’s scoring.

The Warriors go on the road this Friday to Damascus to face Southwest Georgia Academy.
