Archbold system reports no COVID-19 deaths over past week

THOMASVILLE — Archbold officials reported Tuesday that to date there have been 1,718 positive test results for COVID-19 across their system, with 100 deaths, since testing began March 11. There also have been 12,571 negative test results. 

There have been 651 people admitted to Archbold hospitals since testing started. Over the past week, the system has had 28 new positive test results and 599 new negative results. Twenty-two people have been admitted to Archbold hospitals in the last week for COVID-19. The system did not record a death from COVID-19 in the last week.

As of Tuesday, there were 10 COVID-19 positive patients at Archbold Memorial Hospital, three at Grady General Hospital, one at Mitchell County Hospital and none at Brooks County Hospital. There are no COVID-19 positive patients at Northside Center for Behavioral and Psychiatric Care.

Archbold also is reporting there are no COVID positive patients at Glenn-Mor Nursing Home, Pelham Parkway Nursing Home or Mitchell Convalescent Center.

The Georgia Department of Public Health reports there have been 1,550 COVID-19 positive tests in Thomas County, with 68 deaths. There also have been 171 people hospitalized because of the novel coronavirus since the inception of the outbreak.

Statewide, there have been more than 333,000 confirmed positive tests for COVID-19, leading to 7,454 deaths in Georgia and 29,762 people being hospitalized.

The state has administered more than 3 million tests.
