“The victim was transported to Archbold Memorial Hospital, where he has since been treated and released,” said Lt. Toby Knifer, Thomasville Police Department Criminal Investigations Division commander.

TPD requested assistance from the Georgia Bureau of Investigations early in the investigation, which has identified two individuals. Warrants have been issued for their arrests.

“Both the GBI and the TPD are asking for any assistance in locating the two suspects and also for any information pertaining to the shooting incident itself,” Knifer said.

Warrants have been issued for the arrests of Christopher Donate Samuel, 400 Walnut Square, and Demario Antwain Jones, 119 Jerger St., for their involvement in the August shooting, the commander said.

Knifer said the GBI and TPD are looking to the community not only for assistance leading to the arrests, but also for any information about the actual shooting — if they have not already made contact with law enforcement.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the TPD Criminal Investigations Division at (229) 227-3302 and/or the Thomas County dispatch at (229) 227-2101.
