Thomas County COVID-19 cases at 1,135

THOMASVILLE — Archbold officials reported Tuesday that to date there have been 1,233 positive test results for COVID-19 across their system, with 78 deaths, since testing began March 11. There also have been 7,693 negative test results.
There have been 469 people admitted to Archbold hospitals since testing started. Over the past week, the system has had 122 new positive test results and 634 new negative results. Thirty-one people have been admitted to Archbold hospitals in the last week for COVID-19. The system has recorded three deaths from COVID-19 in the last week.
As of Tuesday, there were 36 COVID-19 positive patients at Archbold Memorial Hospital, six at Grady General Hospital, three at Mitchell County Hospital and no COVID-19 positive patients at Brooks County Hospital. There are two COVID-19 positive patients at Northside Center for Behavioral and Psychiatric Care.
Archbold also is reporting there are 29 COVID positive patients at Glenn-Mor Nursing Home. There are no COVID positive patients at either Pelham Parkway Nursing Home or Mitchell Convalescent Center.
The Georgia Department of Public Health reports there have been 1,135 COVID-19 positive tests in Thomas County, with 43 deaths. There also have been 136 people hospitalized because of the novel coronavirus since the inception of the outbreak.
Statewide, there have been more than 222,000 confirmed positive tests for COVID-19, leading to 4,351 deaths in Georgia and 21,031 people being hospitalized.
The state has administered nearly 1.9 million tests.
