32 people hospitalized across Archbold system in las week from COVID-19

THOMASVILLE — Archbold officials reported Tuesday that to date there have been 1,111 positive test results for COVID-19 across their system, with 75 deaths, since testing began March 11. There also have been 7,059 negative test results. 

There have been 438 people admitted to Archbold hospitals since testing started. Over the past week, the system has had 94 new positive test results and 521 new negative results. Thirty-two people have been admitted to Archbold hospitals in the last week for COVID-19. The system has recorded nine deaths from COVID-19 in the last week.

As of Tuesday, there were 38 COVID-19 positive patients at Archbold Memorial Hospital, three at Grady General Hospital, three at Mitchell County Hospital and one COVID-19 positive patients at Brooks County Hospital. There are seven COVID-19 positive patients at Northside Center for Behavioral and Psychiatric Care.

Archbold also is reporting there are 28 COVID positive patients at Glenn-Mor Nursing Home. There are no COVID positive patients at either Pelham Parkway Nursing Home or Mitchell Convalescent Center.

The Georgia Department of Public Health reports there have been 1,021 COVID-19 positive tests in Thomas County, with 40 deaths. There also have been 126 people to be hospitalized because of the novel coronavirus.

Statewide, there have been more than 197,000 confirmed positive tests for COVID-19, leading to 3,921 deaths in Georgia and 19,426 people being hospitalized.

The state has administered more than 1.6 million tests.
