The Georgia Department of Public Health reports there have been 696 COVID-19 positive tests in Thomas County, with 33 deaths. There also have been 97 people to be hospitalized because of the novel coronavirus.

Statewide, there have been more than 145,000 confirmed positive tests for COVID-19, leading to 3,176 deaths in Georgia and 15,047 people being hospitalized.

The state has administered more than 1.2 million tests.
