Georgia nears 2,000 deaths due to COVID-19

ATLANTA – Georgia has recorded 42,132 confirmed cases of COVID-19, according to the Georgia Department of Public Health’s 1 p.m. Saturday update.
The report states Georgia has 1,811 deaths and 7,411 hospitalizations due to the novel coronavirus. There have been 1,678 admissions into intensive critical care units, according to data.
A total of 453,537 tests have been performed, data states.
