Thomas County total COVID-19 cases now more than 290

THOMASVILLE — The Georgia Department of Public Health reports there have been 292 COVID-19 positive tests in Thomas County, with 30 deaths. There also have been 61 people to be hospitalized because of the novel coronavirus.
Statewide, there have been 38,721 confirmed positive tests for COVID-19. leading to 1,664 deaths in Georgia and 7,027 people being hospitalized.
The state has administered more than 378,000 tests.
Archbold officials reported Tuesday that to date there have been 482 positive test results for COVID-19 across their system, with 51 deaths.
The health care system also has had a total of 2,073 negative test results. Of those who have tested positive, 394 are at home, and many of them are thought to have recovered while at home. There are nine patients who have tested positive for the novel coronavirus at Archbold Memorial Hospital.
There have been 218 inpatients who have been discharged, or are no longer testing positive or others known to Archbold as having recovered.
From its Pinetree Boulevard screening site, Archbold has had 169 total positive test results. There have been 1,008 negative test results from the Pinetree screening site. Those tested at the screening site and waiting on results will be notified by their primary care provider.
No patient at Brooks County Hospital or Grady General has a positive test result. There are nine at Mitchell County Hospital who have tested positive.
No resident at either Glenn-Mor Nursing Home or Mitchell Convalescent Center has tested positive. As of Wednesday, there are 19 residents at Pelham Parkway Nursing Home classified as having a COVID-19 positive test result.
