Police recover stolen vehicle, arrest driver on warrants

THOMASVILLE — Police recovered a stolen vehicle and arrested the teenage driver they had been looking for in a burglary investigation, a Thomasville Police Department commander said.
An officer on patrol stopped the vehicle on Magnolia Street. The passenger fled, Lt. Toby Knifer said.

The driver, burglary suspect Jamone Parker, 19, 439 Jones St., was taken into custody.
Parker is charged with motor vehicle theft and a burglary in which a firearm and cash were taken.
“We had warrants for his arrest,” Knifer said. “He is a suspect in several other burglaries where electronics were stolen.”
Anyone knowing the location of electronics taken in the burglaries is asked to contact police by calling 911 or 227-3302.
“We are looking for the person who fled the scene,” Knifer said.
