CAIRO — Grady County Administrator Buddy Johnson has confirmed that a county resident died Tuesday of the coronavirus.

Johnson said he received word from the Grady County Health Department late Tuesday afternoon that the resident had died The death is the first in Grady County to be attributed to the virus.

Twenty-one cases of the virus have been positively identified in Grady County.
