Bulldogs boys pick up two wins

The Thomasville boys basketball team stayed perfect in Region 1-AA, beating Early County 62-52 Friday and then downing Berrien 46-34 Saturday.

Thomasville finished the game against the Rebels with an 8-0 run.

The Bulldogs, who have two games left, have a two-game lead on Fitzgerald for the boys top seed. Fitzgerald is 4-2. 

Makayla Simpson had 23 points and Ashontay Henderson scored 21 as Early County downed the Lady Bulldogs 72-38 Friday night. The Lady Bobcats opened a 44-16 lead at the half.

The win secured the top spot in the region for the Early County girls.

The Thomasville girls fell 52-41 to Berrien on Saturday night. 

Thomasville will visit Fitzgerald on Friday and conclude the regular season Saturday at Brooks County.
