Christmas is over but don’t let the season of peace and joy end

Christmas is behind us on the calendar. Yet the season and all it means and stands for need not be tossed aside like torn wrapping paper.

It is supposed to be a time of peace and joy. Far too often, it isn’t. We see that on a national level. Sometimes, it happens among us here too. There are those among us who, on occasion through circumstances out of their control, don’t get to experience the joy and love of Christmas.

For them, there are ways we can help make sure the season isn’t lost on them. Several agencies and organizations help those who are less fortunate and are routinely in need of support, either financially or in manpower.

For ourselves, perhaps we could embody the season better by instead of looking for conflict, looking for ways to connect. It is a belated Christmas wish for all, but it is a wish nonetheless and it is that we find peace and joy in places we don’t expect to in the future.

We hope the Christmas season of joy and good tidings continues for all of you.
