Two arrested in drug investigation

TY TY – Two Ty Ty residents have been arrested as part of an ongoing drug investigation, according to a Georgia Bureau of Investigation press release.
Jarvis Lashawn Lindsey, 31, of Ty Ty and Antoinette Monique Lindsey, 33, of Ty Ty were arrested on Nov. 6 by members of the GBI Southwestern Regional Drug Enforcement Office, Mid-South Narcotics Task Force, and the Tift County Sheriff’s Office.
These arrests are the results of a three-month investigation, the release states.
During the investigation, agents began purchasing methamphetamine from Jarvis Lashawn Lindsey in the 4500 block of U.S. Highway 82 and the 100 block of West Elman Street in Ty Ty, according to the release.
Throughout the investigation, numerous investigative acts including controlled purchases, led agents to develop probable cause for the issuance of search warrants and arrests warrants, the release states.
As a result of the search warrant, approximately 33 grams of suspected heroin, powder cocaine, crack cocaine, methamphetamine, and Xanax pills were discovered, according to the release.
Also discovered during the search were three handguns and $5,258, the release states.
Jarvis Lindsey was charged with trafficking in heroin, trafficking in cocaine, possession of cocaine with intent to distribute, possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute, possession of Xanax with intent to distribute, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon (three counts), possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony and probation violation, according to the release.
Antoinette Lindsey was charged with trafficking in heroin, trafficking in cocaine, possession of cocaine with intent to distribute, possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute, possession of Xanax with intent to distribute and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, the release states.
Both Jarvis and Antoinette Lindsey are currently incarcerated in Tift County Jail, according to the release.
