Annual library fundraiser to feature Little Texas

Little Texas will play the Tift Theatre Sept. 19 to support the Tifton-Tift County Public Library Foundation.

TIFTON — When Little Texas takes the Tift Theatre stage on Sept. 19, it’ll be in support of the Tifton-Tift County Public Library Foundation, according to a press release.

Since their 1992 debut album, “First Time for Everything,” Little Texas has sold over 7 million albums, earned 3 Grammy nominations, won a CMA Album Of The Year award and earned the title “The Hardest Working Band In Country” by playing over 300 shows a year, the release states.

Little Texas’ hit songs include “God Blessed Texas,” “Some Guys Have All the Love,” “First Time for Everything,” “What Might Have Been,” and ”My Love.”

The Tifton-Tift County Public Library Foundation is partnering with McAlpin Entertainment for the show.

The foundation is a non-profit organization that has awarded more than $75,000 to the Tifton-Tift County Library for such initiatives as children’s programming, summer reading programs, books and online initiatives.
