Lady Dogs pound Brooks

Gracen Hinson went 3-for-4 and drove in four runs and the Thomasville Lady Bulldogs pounded Brooks County 14-3 Tuesday in a Region 1-AA softball game.

Allyson Mirick allowed just one earned run on five hits while striking out five to get the win in the circle.

Mallory Fletcher doubled and also drove in four runs. Jordan Williams, who also had a double, and Felicity Tipton each had two RBIs and scored three runs.

Ava Fletcher was 2-for-4 in the win.

Bradyn Marshall was 2-for-2 with a double and Lexi Patterson was 2-for-3 with a double for Brooks County.

Thomasville broke open a 3-3 game with a seven-run fourth and tacked on four more runs in the fifth.

Thomasville, 3-0 on the season and 2-0 in the region, hosts Berrien County on Thursday at 5:30 p.m. The Lady Dogs travel to Columbus for a weekend tournament, taking on Seminole County and Baconton on Saturday.
