TCMS seventh graders top Valdosta

VALDOSTA — On Wednesday, Thomas County Middle School seventh grade football team traveled to take on Valdosta’s seventh grade, a combination of players from JL Newbern and Valdosta Middle.
Kendarious Reddick following good blocking and found the end zone from 40 yards out, making it 6-0. The defense, led by strong safety Travis Johnson, linebacker Ashley Fulghum and nose guard Lavar Madison, forced three consecutive punts. The Yellow Jacket offensive line helped the running game get going as Jeremiah Robbins, Lafabian Paytee, and Ricarious Coleman ripped off big gains as the offense again found the end zone to go up 12-0.
Valdosta answered with a 30-yard run and closed the gap to 12-8.
In the second half, the offense began rolling again and Reddick scored on a nice run from 50 yards out. Jeremiah Robbins punched in the two-point conversion, making it 20-8 as lightning ended the game at the end of the third quarter.
Next up, the seventh grade travels to Bainbridge to play Bainbridge Middle August 21.
