Annual Rockin’ with Spirit Benefit concert is Aug. 24

The seventh annual Rockin’ with Spirit benefit concert will take place on Saturday, Aug. 24, at the Railroad Square Craft House in Tallahassee, Florida. Doors open at 7 p.m.
Rockin’ with Spirit is Spirit of a Child Foundation’s main fund-raising event each year. It gives the foundation the opportunity to raise important funds while showcasing nationally known and local musicians and performers to the community for an evening of great entertainment and fun. This year’s headliner is CMA, CMT, ACM, Grammy award-winner country music artist Bryan White. The featured performer will be country music artists the Michael Miller Band.
Headliner White’s prolific recording career began in 1994 with the release of his self-titled certified-Platinum debut followed by back-to-back platinum selling albums Between Now and Forever (1996) and The Right Place (1997). He released six No. 1 singles — “So Much for Pretending,” “Sittin’ on Go,” “I’m Not Supposed to Love You Anymore,” “Rebecca Lynn,” “Someone Else’s Star” and “From This Moment On,” which he recorded with Shania Twain — along with eight more Top 40 singles. His list of honors include a Grammy, recognition from the Country Music Association (1996 Horizon Award winner) and Academy of Country Music (1996 New Male Vocalist winner) plus five CMT Awards, Canadian Country Music Awards and TNN/Music City News Awards.
In 1998, White was voted one of People magazines “50 Most Beautiful People.” On July 24, 2019, White released the video for his new single, “It Must Be Love,” available on itunes and all outlets.
Featured performer band Michael Miller BAnd was formed from of group of Christian friends from a church located in Tallahassee. Since its inception, MMB has been performing live shows and country music festivals across the southeast. Some of those performances include The Suwannee River Jam, CMA Music Fest, Georgia State Fair, Bainbridge River Town Days, South Shore Music Festival and Country in the Pines. The band’s first EP in 2014 was recorded with Jason Wyatt Productions in Nashville, Tennessee.
The Suwannee Music Hall officials recently released this public statement, “This is the best country band we have heard in 20 years!”
