VALDOSTA — A pair of street work projects require temporary lane closures, according to statements from the city.

The work will require closures at the far west right-hand lane entrances.  Work is scheduled to be completed the same day at 1 p.m., weather permitting.

Tuesday, The Scruggs Company began resurfacing Park Avenue between Ashley Street and Slater Street, city officials said.

There are temporary delays eastbound and westbound on Park Avenue for about two days, weather permitting. The left-hand turn lane on Ashley Street at Park Avenue will be closed while milling on the north side of Park Avenue. The westbound through lane of Park Avenue will be either a right or left turn lane.

Traffic control devices will be in place to inform motorists of these delays. Motorists are urged to drive with caution and adhere to the traffic warning signs for their safety and the safety of others.
