MAYO, Fla. — The body of a deceased man was found at Mayo Town Park on Tuesday.

According to Lafayette County Sheriff Brian Lamb, deputies found a middle-aged Hispanic male deceased at the park following a call around noon.

The Florida Department of Law Enforcement mobile crime lab is on the scene helping the LCSO investigate.

“At this time, no foul play is suspected, and there is no cause for concern for the town’s safety,” Lamb said Tuesday afternoon.

The next of kin and family of the deceased have been notified, but the identity of the deceased has not yet been released.

The investigation is ongoing.
