MOULTRIE, Ga. — Colquitt County sheriff’s investigators have arrested a former employee in connection with a burglary at CTV Pick-A-Part two weeks ago.
The business was broken into after 11 p.m. Sunday, May 26, Inv. Austin Cannon said. Because it was the Memorial Day weekend, the business had a significant amount of cash in its safe.
The burglar pulled the electric meter and cut the cables to the power and the video cameras, Cannon said.
“Given the nature of the theft it was clear the person was familiar with the building,” he said.
The burglar raided register drawers, which were believed to be empty, and at least one safe, which held the weekend’s receipts.
The investigators developed leads that directed them to Clayton Anderson, 37, of Theron Tillman Road, Coolidge, and they arrested him Thursday. He is charged with burglary.
