Georgia Pecan Growers Conference connects industry professionals

TIFTON — The 54th Annual Georgia Pecan Growers Association Conference and Trade Show was held at the University of Georgia Tifton Campus Conference Center on Mar. 26-27.
The purpose of the conference was to facilitate connections between various parts of the pecan industry, from researchers and educators to growers, crop insurance companies and equipment manufacturers.
The event started off with a GPGA golf tournament and welcome reception at Spring Hill Country Club on the 26th, along with an open panel discussion with industry experts, pecan specialists and researchers.
The following day opened with presentations from GPGA President Brent Brinkley and US Department of Agriculture State Executive Director for Georgia Tas Smith.
Attendees were able to visit 84 exhibitor booths throughout the conference venue.
