THOMASVILLE — A woman with a 6-month-old baby in the vehicle rammed the infant’s father’s car several times Saturday, according to a Thomasville Police Department incident report.
An officer was dispatched to the 700 block of Wright Street where he encountered a fellow officer who was with a woman who told officers the suspect, Sheneka Thompson, could be found at 101 Dowdell St.
Officers observed that Mathis was wearing pajamas — with an owl and polk-dot pattern — and that her gray Nissan Maxima had multiple paint transfers on it.
The woman who called police said she and the baby’s father were leaving the Rendezvous Lounge about 1 a.m., when Mathis approached their vehicle, drove away, then struck their vehicle on Teddy Street.
The couple drove to 709 Wright St. and parked in front of the residence. The report said that Mathis sideswiped the man’s car, turned around and struck the vehicle again.
According to the report, Mathis got out of her car, wearing pajamas, and shouted, “I have your baby. I have your baby.”
The case was reported to Thomas County Department of Family and Children Services.
“Additional charges may be pending because she had her infant child in the car with her,” said Maj. Wade Glover, TPD public information officer.
