Thomas County Middle School recently kicked off its “Be The Voice” campaign. “Be The Voice” (BTV) is a program designed to empower students to bypass the bully and support the victim in a safe, non-confrontational way. The program was purchased for the middle school by the Thomasville Rotary Club.
Ashley Vincent, eighth-grade counselor, formed a BTV group of students to lead the campaign. On the first day of the campaign, the BTV group welcomed students to school on the bus line and car drop off lines with stickers. Videos were shown in every classroom at TCMS that morning explaining the program.
The BTV program will run through the next several weeks with each Friday being designated for teachers to show a video that helps empower students in kindness, compassion, and inclusion.
