Also on Monday, the PDA will consider appointment of an architect to oversee Marriott construction. The architect eventually chosen will be employed by the PDA and work with Marriott architects.

Southern Lodging, a local company, presented a draft design at the meeting earlier this month for a hotel on PDA-owned property at the intersection of South Dawson Street.

Also on the Monday agenda is consideration of receipt and administration of grants for the Thomasville-Thomas County Chamber of Commerce improvement and renovations as originally approved on March 28, 2016.

Shelley Zorn, PDA executive director, will present an economic update.

The Monday PDA meeting is at 8:30 a.m. at the Chamber of Commerce VOOM Room, 401 S. Broad St.
