THS splits with Early, Berrien

The Thomasville Bulldogs held off the Early County Bobcats to take a 70-67 win Friday night in a Region 1-AA boys basketball contest.
The Bobcats reeled off the first 11 points of the game before the Bulldogs went on a 14-2 run to take their first lead.
Thomasville outscored the Bobcats 29-17 in the third quarter to take control of the game.
The Bulldogs, however, suffered their first region loss and just their second setback of the year with a 58-53 loss on the road at Berrien. The defeat left the Bulldogs at 15-2 for the year and 2-1 in the region.
The Lady Bulldogs shook off a 69-54 loss to Early County on Friday night with a 59-56 win on the road Saturday against Berrien.
Mikayla Timpson was one of four Lady Bobcats in double figures with 23 points in Early’s win over Thomasville on Friday night. Tre’Oncia Andrews and Herbreyia Diggs each finished in double figures for Thomasville.
Thomasville visits Pelham on Tuesday and travels to Fitzgerald on Friday before hosting Thomas County Central on Saturday.
