Tift County welcomes first baby of 2019

TIFTON — Not even two hours into the new year, Tift Regional Medical Center welcomed the first newborn of 2019.

A baby boy named Jesse Blaise Giddens was born 1:56 a.m. on Jan. 1, weighing in at an even 6 pounds.

The proud mother is Erica Giddens of Adel.

The baby was delivered at the Elene Dorminy Women’s Pavilion at Tift Regional Medical Center by the hospital’s obstetrics team.
