TIFTON — Jon Edward Patrick, 34, of Tifton, has been charged with burglary, according to a Tifton Police Department report.

Patrick is charged with stealing more than $10,000 from the safe of an insurance office, the report states.

An insurance store in the 600 block of Tift Avenue contacted the TPD the morning of Dec. 3 about a burglary that occurred overnight.

The burglar entered by breaking through the back door, according to the report.

Along with the safe, a residential apartment within the building was also broken into, with a watch and handgun possibly stolen, the report states.

Video footage of the property showed a tall man with gloves and a mask walking around the property before the cameras stopped recording, the report states.
