TIFTON — Judge Render Heard swore in seven new volunteers as court appointed special advocates for children in the juvenile court system on Monday, Nov. 5, according to a press release.
“We are absolutely thrilled that these individuals have a heart and passion to advocate for what’s best for children in foster care and making sure a child or sibling group will get the best possible care in hopes for the best possible outcome.” said the Coastal Plain CASA in the release. “We already know that the impact that they will have in a child’s life will be invaluable.”
The new CASA volunteers are Ric Stewart, Mandy Bryant, Malinda Darling, Tonia Moore, Carmella Mercer, Sue Roach and Kyle Martin.
Coastal Plain CASA, Inc. is growing tremendously and that means more children are able to have their own personal advocate speaking on their behalf, the release states.
