DALTON, Ga. — A Dalton woman has been charged with armed robbery and simple assault after using a stun gun on a convenience store clerk, according to a Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office incident report.
Lindsey Ann Dean, 39, of 474 Horseshoe Way-1101, was in the county jail on Wednesday with no bond.
According to the incident report, on Friday at about 11:22 p.m. a deputy responded to the Mapco at 2112 Cleveland Highway in reference to an armed robbery. The clerk told the deputy a woman “walked around the store for a while, then asked where the candy was.” The woman placed some items on the counter and while the clerk’s back was turned she “came behind him and the counter, pulled out a pink stun gun and discharged it into the lower right side” of the clerk’s back.
The woman said, “Empty your drawer.” The clerk said he picked up a broom and chased the woman out of the store. As she was leaving, she said, “I’m sorry, please don’t hurt me.”
The report said as she was leaving she dropped a $5 bill.
