Coastal Plain CASA director meets with Rep. Austin Scott

TIFTON — Coastal Plain CASA’s executive director Kristin Morrison met with U.S. Representative Austin Scott on August 29 at his Tifton office, according to press release
They talked about the state of the local DFCS offices and the high number of children in foster care, largely due to the drug epidemic, according to the release.. This led to the discussion of the importance of the CASA program and the need for additional volunteers and financial support.
Coastal Plain CASA is appreciative of Scott’s support and his concern for the children in foster care, the release states.
Coastal Plain CASA provides volunteer advocates for children in foster care within the Tifton Judicial Circuit (Tift, Turner, Irwin and Worth).
