Shots fired into living rooms, vehicles

TIFTON — Shots were fired into two living rooms in the 100 block of Highway 319, according to two Tifton Police Department reports.
In the first report, a resident called at 2:43 a.m. on Aug. 16 to report shots fired.
That resident reported hearing someone knocking on their door, following by 4-5 shots.
One of the other victims at the same residence reporting feeling “something strike her head as she laid in bed,” the report states.
That victim found a bullet in her bed, but reported no injuries, according to the report.
Bullet holes were also found in the living room, the report states.
The victim’s vehicle was also shot, according to the report.
In the second report, an officer noticed a second nearby residence with bullet holes in the living room window.
Upon notification, those residents reported being asleep during the shooting and thought they were hearing an air pistol or thunderstorm, according to the report.
A bullet was found lodged in their living room closet, according to the report.
Additionally, a vehicle belonging to the second group of residents had the rear glass shot out and a bullet was lodged in the rear head rest, the report states.
