Christin Henry, who is from Dalton, posted on Facebook about the death of her daughter Ireland, 7.

Two-year-old Ivy Henry died in the fire. The sisters’ brother, John Ross Henry, 4, died three days later.

Their parents, Christin and her husband John, were taken by ambulance to a local hospital after the fire, and then transferred to another hospital. Both have since been released from the hospital.

A fund to benefit the family is being administered by Pastor Eric Brown of Faith Baptist Church in Staunton, Virginia. Brown is from Dalton and said he pastored churches in the Dalton area for eight-and-a-half years. Christin Henry’s father Chris Tarvin was his pastor here and is now in Kentucky, Brown said. He has been a close friend of the family for more than 20 years.

Brown said several churches from the Dalton area have already responded with donations.

“The family would want me to say they do appreciate every act of kindness, every prayer,” Brown said. “They want people to know they are grateful for everybody who has reached out, everybody who has prayed.”

In a video posted on Facebook on July 13, Christin Henry thanked those who had been praying for the family.

“God has been so good. I don’t want y’all to think I’m bitter. I’m not bitter. God is faithful,” she said.

“They’re giving God the glory,” Brown said.

There is also a GoFundMe page set up for the family at www.gofundme.com/p368d-help-the-henry-family.
