TIFTON — A National Weather Service advisory is warning Tift County residents of “strong thunderstorms.”

Winds in excess of 40 mph will be possible with these storms, according to the advisory.

Along with Tift County, cities under the advisory include Nashville, Moultrie, Adel, Lakeland, Valdosta, Hahira, Sparks, Omega, Ray City, Norman Park, Lenox, Moody Air Force Base, Riverside, Meigs, Berlin, Cecil, Ellenton, Reed Bingham State Park, Barretts and Greggs.
