THOMASVILLE — A warrant has been issued for the arrest of a Thomasville woman accused of harboring a fugitive in a Wednesday shooting, police said.
Meanwhile, a suspect remains at large in that shooting and in another shooting that occurred Saturday.
Police issued a warrant charging Dejanee Thompson, 24, 310 Reid St., with two counts of harboring a fugitive. Thompson remained at large Monday
“We know she transported both of the individuals out of the City of Thomasville,” Capt. Maurice Holmes, city police investigations chief, said.
Holmes said Thompson took Jarroby Jackson to Jacksonville, Florida, where he was seen driving a blue Honda Accord.
Jackson and Desmond Swain, who remains at large, are suspects in a Wednesday shooting outside a Wright Street store. Shots were fired at a man standing outside the business. He was not injured. Projectiles struck the store.
Midday Saturday, a man was shot during an altercation on Horrix Street. The victim was sitting in a truck when a barrage of gunfire stuck him and the vehicle.
The victim was treated for a pectoral wound at Archbold Memorial Hospital and released.
One of two suspects in the shooting, Stacey McCord, surrendered at the Thomas County Jail three hours later.
Holmes said McCord’s brother, Fred Hill, 27, 314 Horrix St., fled and remains at large.
The Saturday confrontation was about stolen TVs, the officer said.
A reward is being offered for apprehension of the fugitives.
Anyone with information about any of the fugitives is asked to call 911. Callers’ names will be kept confidential.
