TIFTON — Tift County soccer will host Worth County Thursday for a pair of varsity games, starting at 5:30 p.m.
Tift and Worth had been scheduled to play Tuesday, but boys head coach Bobby Earls said scheduling issues had caused the change.
Tift’s Blue Devils enter Thursday after a successful weekend at the Freedom Cup tournament in Houston County.
The Devils defeated Dublin Friday, 8-0, then slipped past Houston County, 1-0, on Saturday.
The squad advanced to the finals, but dropped a 2-0 contest to Colquitt County.
Earls said his team was worn down by three games in 26 hours.
The Lady Devils lost their opening game to Etowah, 2-1, but bounced back to finish the tournament with two wins.
In Saturday games, they won over Westlake, 3-2, and Colquitt County, 4-0.
