Family dispute draws unrelated charge

A family dispute resulted in the arrest of a Colquitt County man after an officer who responded to the location found that he was wanted on unrelated charges.
Police were dispatched at about 7:09 p.m. Wednesday to the 5982 Hwy. 37 W., Hartsfield, residence of Matthew Brian Sasser, according to the Colquitt County Sheriff’s Office.
There, Danielle Tucker, who is Sasser’s sister-in-law, reported that she had been threatened during an argument. There was no physical contact made between the participants in the argument.
A check by the deputy indicated that the Moultrie Police Department had an active arrest warrant for Sasser.
Sasser, 34, was charged with probation violation.

• Sidney Lee Baker, 26,1790 Bay Rockyford Road, Hartsfield, was charged Wednesday with driving while license withdrawn and seat belt violation.

• Eric Clark reported Wednesday that someone scratched her Chevrolet Cruz while it was parked at Colquitt County High School, 105 Doc Darbyshire Road.
Clark told police that the damage occurred about two weeks before she made the report. She had reviewed video that showed several males surround the car and then run from the area.
