TIFTON — Tift County Retired Educators met with 2018 Georgia Teacher of the Year John Tibbets Monday, Jan. 8, according to a press release.

Tibbets is a former Tift County student and teacher.

Tibbets now teaches economics at Worth County High School.

Many of his former teachers and co-workers were in attendance at the meeting.

The next TCREA meeting will be February 12 at Spring Hill Country Club. All retired educators are invited to attend the 11:00 a.m. meeting.
