Crowd flocks to Heritage Park Christmas

LIVE OAK, Fla. — More than 900 people enjoyed a day of Christmas fun at Heritage Park & Gardens on Saturday.

Admission was free with games, music, horse rides, photo opportunities, Santa and Mrs. Claus, train rides and arts and crafts.

There was a wide variety of Christmas and winter-themed games including snowball toss, ice fishing and reindeer ring toss.

Face painting, hot dogs, cookies and house tours were available for a small cost.

Marilyn Jones, of Friends of Heritage Park & Gardens, said the celebration went very smoothly from start to finish.

Jones added parents were pleased the games were spread out so there was no congested areas.

“The children seemed to have a great time,” Jones said.

The house and grounds are a centerpiece of Live Oak where weddings, parties, anniversaries, birthdays, music and more are celebrated throughout the year.

The event was sponsored by Poole Realty, Daniel Crapps Realty, Live Oak Artists Guild Inc., First Federal and Friends of Heritage Park & Gardens.
