Shaunta Moore, who now lives in Atlanta, is nominated for Female Artist of the Year and Contemporary Single of the Year for her song, “Favored.”

Moore recorded a live performance at Live Oak Missionary Baptist Church in March 2016. Moore’s mother, the late Priscilla Wiggins, was minister of music at the church as well as part of the family gospel group, The Wiggins Sisters.

Moore helped to bring an event to Moultrie focusing on careers in the entertainment industry in June 2016, and she was involved in a Women’s Crusade in July of this year.

In its second year, the awards program will be held Saturday night as part of a two-day event at the Mobile Convention Center in Mobile, Ala., according to its website, www.vogma.org. It was founded by Elder Gary Johnson, pastor of Miracle Temple Church and CEO of Gospel Sounds Radio Network, which is associated with the awards.

The website includes a link through which you can buy tickets up until Friday.
